As an Amazon intern, you will be interacting with your peers and the AWS global team of full-time professionals as part of our AWS Cloud Support team. You'll be working at the forefront of AWS and providing expert technical support to organizations all across the globe. Key job responsibilities

  • Design, build and deploy tools/applications for AWS Support Engineers.
  • Interact with leading engineers around the world.

A day in the life

Why us?

  • The Cloud Support Associate Internship Program provides interns with the technical and functional skills training based on Cloud Support Builder standards.
  • On a typical day, a Cloud Support Builder will be primarily responsible for solving customer's cases through customer contact channels (e.g., telephone, email, and web/live chat). They apply troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions for our customers by thoughtfully working with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue.
  • A Cloud Support Builder may also develop, train, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.

The internship is a fixed term program, the start date will be March 2026 for a duration of 6 months.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or graduated from a higher education qualification in Tech field (Minimum NQF level 4-6 qualification) -Qualification must be from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Basic knowledge of at least one functional scripting language (e.g., Perl, Python, Ruby, shell scripting).
  • Basic knowledge of Networking and Databases.
  • Basic knowledge of Operation Systems Windows and/or Linux.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of internet fundamentals and cloud computing concepts.
  • Familiarity with Database, Storage, & Big Data concepts.
  • Knowledge of Networking fundamentals like CIDR notations, OSI model, DNS, HTTP, TCP/UDP, DHCP, routing, switching, subnets, NAT.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Customer facing work experience.
