**Summary of the position**:
The Quality Assistant will act under the direction of the Quality Manager to assist in the monitoring of the Quality Management System (QMS), and includes the auditing of the QMS in other departments/line stations and suppliers.

Key Performance Areas
- Assist with the monitoring of compliance related activities and corrective actions to ensure compliance with the requirements of the QMS, applicable Company procedures, rules and regulations within the organisation.
- Remain knowledgeable of departmental procedures and standards.
- Assist with audits and inspections as required by the Quality Manager within the organisation, line stations, and suppliers.
- Assist in the formulation of findings raised because of any non-conformance identified during an audit or monitoring programme.
- Assist with the monitoring of the implementation of any corrective action determined to be necessary within the organisation.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in the task of procedure implementation and monitoring.
- Administration of quality related data on Centrik, including audit dates, checklists, results, follow ups on corrective actions, and monitoring of such
- Acting as an approved Document Controller on instructions from divisional heads for Quality and Safety
- Support the Quality Manager with document formatting and control activities
- Managing and supporting Employee compliance to all documentation regarding use of Centrik

**Skill Requirements**:

- A good knowledge of South African Civil Aviation Regulations 2011.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication
- and report writing skills.
- Relevant certificate/s in quality management systems advantageous
- At least have training and experience that may qualify the individual to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license;
- Or hold or have held a pilot license and ratings appropriate to the aeroplanes being operated by Federal Airlines or demonstrate adequate knowledge of the maintenance of such aeroplane.
