Site Quality Inspector The purpose of the Site Quality Inspector is to ensure that roof installations are done in accordance with the required specifications and safety standards as specified by the organisation. Duties & Responsibilities Ensure that all products supplied to customers are according to prescribed specifications and quality standards. Inspect material being installed to ensure that it conforms to specifications and customer requirements. Read and understand blueprints and specifications to ensure the roof installation is correctly installed. Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to the installation process in line with quality assurance. Inspect, test, and approve the installation to ensure it was done correctly and safety is not compromised. Adhere to product standards and perform routine inspections. Investigate and prepare Non-Conformance Reports on defective products and Goods Returned Notes. Investigate Non-Conformances and implement corrective measures. Respond to and resolve queries/complaints from customers. Inspect profiles. Perform tests requested to ensure quality and durability of products as required by the customer or management. Problem solve on quality matters. Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to. Liaise with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and use feedback for continuous improvement on Quality Control. Submit technical reports on all site inspections for the week to the Tactical Manager. Inspect concealed fix roofs for guaranteed purposes. Provide on-site training before new projects start. Perform quality checks in the factory. Inspect roofs requiring work at heights. Continuous improvement on quality procedures to minimize customer complaints. Provide in-house training as required. Perform wind uplift tests on the test bed in-house. Provide feedback to the Tactical Manager. Assist with ad hoc items as necessary and required by management. Establish quality standards for products the company produces. Read blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards. Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes. Inspect and test the materials and equipment produced by the company. Key Performance Areas Quality and ISO standards complied and maintained. Roof installations completed correctly. Adequate training provided on-site and in-house. Research and development to improve quality procedures. Effective inspections and corrective measures. Seamless operational quality. Desired Experience & Qualification Matric / Grade 12. Good communication skills with both external parties and business audiences. Certification in quality control is preferred. ISO9001:2015 Accreditation. Working at Heights certification. Roofing and construction product knowledge is advantageous. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Good math and technical skills. Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques. Valid Driver’s License. Technical knowledge of roofing and construction specific manufacturing machinery and specifications. Ability to read technical drawings. Analytical thinking. Critical thinking. Problem solving. Adhering to all work-site safety rules and regulations. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines. Physically fit and healthy with the ability to work at heights. Ability to perform under pressure. Ability to work in a team. Package & Remuneration Market related.
