Our Client, the leader in Protective and Marine Coatings are hiring a high-performing Sales Manager for Southern and Eastern Africa to manage the entire sales process with a highly motivated and engaged commercial team.
**Salary: Market Related**
- Ability to design and implement a successful sales strategy
- Good leadership skills and ability to motivate a senior and well experienced team
- Managing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally
- Preparing sales budgets and forecasts
- Manage and exceed the set business targets
- Tracking and analysing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
- Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
- Ability to set sales targets and achieve them effectively
- Overseeing and directing performance of the sales team
- Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
- Experienced in export sales to Africa
- Ability to grow indirect sales through distributors and identify new distributors
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients
- Communicate effectively with internal global support functions
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service
- Experienced in using digital CRM tools to manage the sales process
- Planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
- High level of understanding of the Protective and Marine Coatings market
- Build brand and promote X-SBU business and opportunities
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Committed to continuous education
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
- Ability to work independently, or within a team, displaying initiative and self-motivation
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- University degree, preferably in business administration, Sales & marketing, or technical discipline
- Successful previous experience as a key account manager or sales manager, with a proven ability to consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Experience in the Protective and Marine Coatings market and products sold into the Oil and Gas, Power, Infrastructure, Mining and Marine segments will be an advantage
- Externally dealing with high level managers of owners, EPC’s, OEM’s, contractors, fabricators, and applicators in the Protective and Marine Coatings market
- Based in Gauteng at
- Travelling locally and internationally extensively
