- Health and Safety Compliance (OHS Act 85 of 1993)
- Appointed as the designated person responsible for principal 16.2.
- Appoint other designated personnel for legal compliance.
- Ensure training of personnel as required by job description.
- Verify the suitability of emergency response plans.
- Conduct annual testing of emergency response plans.
- Conduct annual health and safety risk assessment.

- Environmental Compliance (ISO14001)
- Ensure Environmental Compliance according to SATT SLA.
- Monitor water usage and limit wastage.
- Ensure all disposed water complies with SATT Standards.
- Regulatory Compliance (Act 36 of 1947)
- Ensure all products comply with South African regulations.
- Ensure all products meet registered specifications.
- Participate as an active member of the AFMA Regulatory and Technical Committee.
- Schedule and pass Annual Department of Agriculture ZA inspections.
- Feed Safety Compliance (ISO22000)
- Establish, implement, maintain, verify and update a Feed Safety Management System.
- Set, monitor and complete annual feed safety objectives.
- Appoint and manage the feed safety team.
- Schedule, lead and document feed safety meetings.
- Monthly or quarterly verification of CCPs, OPRPs and PRPs.
- Schedule and conduct annual internal audits.
- Schedule and conduct Annual Management Review Meetings.
- Schedule annual certification audits and assist auditors during audits.
- Complete supplier and raw material risk assessments.
- Complete annual TACCP and VACCP risk assessments.
- Conduct supplier visits audits and ensures compliance.

- Sustainability compliance (ISCC)
- Establish, implement, maintain, verify and update an ISCC Sustainability Management System.
- Schedule annual certification audits, assist auditors during audits and maintain certification.
- Verify ISCC required documentation.
- Calculate and submit ISCC mass balance reports.
- Operational Performance
- Optimised yields on oil, oil cake, and acid oil.
- Feed blends, procurement and stock management.
- Ensure plant availability for production.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of divisions.
- Coordinate different departments - Laboratory, Operations, Sales, Logistics, and Maintenance.
- Meet daily with the operations team and discuss stock levels, customer orders, and daily schedules.
- Finalize and submit month-end stock and transfer opening stocks to the new month's stock sheet.
- Monitor and investigate all stock variances.
- Manage and limit wastage.
- Ensure good housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Monitor vehicle usage and cost and submit monthly reports.
- Manage SATT SLAs.
- Manage Refinex SLAs.
- Manage Pest Control SLA.

- Schedule vehicle registrations.

**Qualifications**:

- Engineering qualification - Mechanical preferred
- BComm or other degrees in Business Administration
- Masters degree in Business Administration is an advantage
- More than 5 years of experience in the Operations and production of Vegetable Oil and Animal Feed
- Experience with cross-border transactions and supply chains in Africa, preferably Mozambique
- Preference will be given to the Operational Management of a Production facility or a Feed Industry
- Proven track record of managing a large plant and/ or team environment
- Proficiency in English is a necessity and Portuguese would be an advantage
