Specialist: Esg Portfolio Coordinator

**Core Description**:
Responsible for execution support on Telkom’s ESG and Shared Value strategy. This will involve, amongst other things: orchestrating the execution programme with a special emphasis on environmental, social, and governance interests, collaborating with cross-functional teams and working as an integrator to drive the execution programme and achievement of results against targets. Also responsible for compilation of KPIs and performance reports for Exco and Board meetings and providing oversight for establishing, managing, and reporting on policies and practices related to compliance initiatives. Need to have a keen interest and knowledge of ESG and Climate Change interests, with an ability to develop relevant communications material to sustain ESG culture embedment across the Group. Responsible for leading and facilitating interactions related to programme management and deployment of technology solutions that support longer term execution excellence and sustainable business practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for implementation of the Telkom ESG strategy, in collaboration with business unit teams
- Facilitation of cross-functional BU ESG portfolio teams and oversight for ESG progress and execution against targets
- ESG programme management
- Data analysis and reporting
- Oversight for ESG programme management budget and timelines
- ESG Impact measurement
- Ideation and opportunity generation of new ESG projects and synergies for value-uplift
- Support to the ESG business champions and executive management
- Business case development and design of new shared value opportunities
- Establishing a cadence of monitoring and measuring KPIs on ESG goal statements
- Preparing presentations and reports for relevant stakeholder groups
- Stay up to date with regulations, ESG reporting frameworks and market best practices to recommend continuous improvement initiatives
- Responsible for communicating on ESG purpose, value and initiatives and embedding a Sustainability culture across the Group

**Required Certification**:
None.

**Qualifications**:

- 3-year degree/ diploma (NQF level 6) preferably in Sustainability/ Environmental Management/ Business Management.
- A project management qualification will be an added advantage.

**Experience**:

- At least 5 years relevant experience, preferably in ESG and in a listed company, consulting firm and/or relevant sustainability environment.
- Telecommunications experience will be an advantage.

**Special Requirements**:

- Demonstrable interest in and knowledge of ESG and Climate Change.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; is able to quickly build relationships and establish credibility.
- Connects and brings together the right people to ensure that the right outcomes are reached.
