**Social Media Manager**

SMD Technologies is looking for an experienced, passionate, self-determined and creative Social Media Manager to join our fast-growing team of digital experts. As Social Media Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing Social Media Strategies across a portfolio of ever-expanding brand portfolios for local and international markets. You will be working closely with a number of our internal and external stakeholders.

**Reporting to**: Creative Director

**Responsibilities**
- Leverage customer data and trusted journalism to create social media content campaigns that deliver results
- Define most important social media KPIs
- Develop and manage relationships across departments to ensure social media campaigns stay on-track and on-brand,
- Monitor and report on social media performance, identify trends and key learnings across a portfolio of brands
- Build, manage and oversee social media content calendars
- Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
- Collaborate with the Category managers, product developers and other internal stakeholders to identify cross-marketing opportunities.
- Help project manage content marketing templates, videos and other assets with your team.
- Adhere to rules and regulations
- Grow and develop online audience and engagement of portfolio of brands
- Drive customer loyalty and appreciation through social media & content marketing
- Provide excellent community support & customer support via social media to customers oof our brands.
**Requirements**:

- At least 2+ years of national - big brand social media management experience or similar role.
- Bsc / BA Degree in Marketing, Strategic Communication, Journalism, or a similar tertiary qualification
- Proven Social Media Management Track Record
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tik Tok, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
- Understanding of SEO and traffic metrics.
- Experience doing audience and buyer persona research
- Excellent multi-tasking and project management skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Team Player
- Good understanding of social media KPIs
- Familiarity with social media & content creation/ marketing best practices
- Strong writing skills - experience in news/media organizations advantageous.
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms, how they work, what performs best.
- Experience ting in a professional environment/ with senior stakeholders.
- Analytics expertise, ability to compile reports, understand and develop insights/ key action points based on data.
- Self-starter who is resourceful can bring ideas to the table, be able to execute on tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Experience with project management tools like Asana, Wrike, MS Planners, etc. (advantageous)

**Salary**: R16,000.00 - R20,000.00 per year
