- Have at least **12 years experience in a related position**, of which **7 years should have been at a senior management level or experience in a functional/specialist area**:

- Be a **Member of the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)**:

- Have a valid drivers license (if applicable).
- Have a clear security screening record
- Be medically fit to work in the specific business area

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Inform the **Protection Services vision and strategy** for the **SA Region.**:

- Inform **strategy and develop implementation plans** for the Protection Services SA Region in consultation with the Regional Executive Committee.
- Plan** strategically to improve overall Regional performance**.
- Align the **Protection Services Strategy with the Regional business strategy, goals, and objectives**.
- Ensure that **strategic security risk management methodologies are in place to meet Regional business requirements**.
- Ensure that **Security Standards meet Regional business requirements**.
- Ensure that **capital allocation is appropriate** and efficient in order to contain security, criminal and ESG related risks.
- ** Develop and implement adequate control measures** to mitigate business related security risks.
- Report on **strategic risks facing the SA Region to the various regulatory bodies, forums and to the Regional EXCO.**:

- Ensure that the **Crime Intelligence Cycle at the Centre effectively meets the SA Regions business requirements**.
- Ensure that **Investigations systems and processes within Protection Services are focussed and capacitated** to **identify and dismantle criminal business practices** within the SA Region.
- Personal **future ready leadership status**: Personal leadership with strong future ready competence is the most critical success factor for securing a values-based organisational culture.
- Support the **culture growth programme per segment** as it pertains to empowered employees.
- Ensure **alignment to Group ESG standards including, but not exclusively, World Gold Council (WGC) responsible mining principles, ICMM standards and IRMA requirements**.
- Focus on **safety and health as well as operational excellence**:

- Focus on s**ustainability targets** that will require operational ramp up according to plan
