- The Development Executive oversees all of the developments within the company portfolio from inception to the delivery of a completed asset. This role will play an integral part in the identification new development opportunities, project management and as well as the sustainability of each development to ensure the alignment of the company strategy. The Development Executive develops and maintains an internal development capability and manages relationships with external stakeholders to achieve strategic objective in terms of new developments
- Key duties:
Business Development
- Leads the strategy for the development of area, a smart, safe sustainable city
- Utilises market intelligence, value engineering, feasibility analysis and alignment to the strategy to identify and assess new investment and development opportunities across all sectors, including retail, commercial, residential, hospitality and industrial/logistics
- Accountable for the preparation and presentation of investment committee proposals to the investment committee or its delegated authority (in terms of the mandate)
Business Management
- Collaborates extensively and effectively with Asset Management, Sustainability and Infrastructure teams from a client acquisition perspective and implementing the groups sustainability strategy as well as effective management of infrastructure roll
- out and bulk
- Manages a team of senior and junior development managers
- Oversees the management and monitoring of development projects
- Provides feedback on projects to exco and investment committee
- Ensures that projects follow agreed process, and all required internal and external approvals are received
- Ensures that developments are completed within agreed timelines and approvals
Financial Management
- Manages the financial aspects of all development projects.
Strategic Relationship Management
Transformation Management
Risk Management
Staff Management
Acts as Deputy Information Officer
**Requirements**:
- Relevant Qualification in Business, Engineering or Property related field
- A minimum of 15 years in a Commercial Property Development environment with a specific focus on developing top structures.
