Join our team as a Junior Financial Officer, where you will be responsible for daily balancing and reconciliation of transactions across various systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Immediate corrective actions on reconciliation items will be part of your routine, ensuring 100% accuracy in all processed transactions. Experience with Visa and Mastercard reconciliations is highly advantageous. In terms of reconciliations and knowledge of payment streams will be advantageous. This position will include financial capturing, gaining experience on the various account hosting systems, and reconciliations where the degree of complexity will be less.
**Skills and Experience**:
- A financial professional with a minimum of 5+ years' experience in reconciliations, particularly in bank and cashbook reconciliations.
- Extensive experience and a thorough understanding of Visa and Mastercard processes is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Visa, Mastercard, and other card associations, as well as BankServ Africa rules, service level agreements, and guidelines.
- Previous experience in back-office operations and reconciliation, focusing on interbank-related card switching and payment services, is beneficial.
- Proficiency in general balancing and reconciliation functions, along with experience in bank settlement reconciliations.
- Experience with dispute management systems and banking operations is beneficial.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
- Matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification recognized by the Department of Higher Education & Training.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferably own vehicle).
- Clear credit and criminal records.
