Reports to: Business Unit Manager - Light Material Handling

Job description / core competencies:
To develop and grow the sales and market share of company’s product offering covering Light Materials Handling (Synthetic Belts), by engaging with the company branch network and customers. To offer product training to staff and customers, technical advice on new and existing installations, monitor the Light Materials Handling market, perform competitor analysis, and identify new market and product opportunities. Drive sales with key accounts and national customers.
- Provide sales aid and technical advice to regions and customers.
- Forecast - plan short-term and long-term goals.
- Contribute to the purchasing of specialised stock on various divisional articles.
- Assisting in the monitoring of deliveries, handle queries, and late deliveries.
- Monitor stock levels.
- Decide on price parameters and discount parameters.
- Ensure healthy margins by monthly review.
- Review price surveys from product support and other sources to ensure on par with competitors.
- Services are provided according to department plan.
- A professional attitude is displayed when interacting with customers and team.
- Services are provided efficiently.
- Customer requirements awareness.
- Customer satisfaction levels.
- Facilitates teams’ awareness of customer ratings.
- Provide ongoing assessment and feedback of development.
- Learning achievements are acknowledged to improve staff performance and motivation.
- Team effectiveness is facilitated and assessed against standards and contingencies applied when required.
- Safety and health problems are identified and reported to the safety representative for rectifying.

**Location**:Gauteng and Mpumalanga, South Africa

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric). Technical trade or qualification in Light Materials Handling.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of light material handling and process experience.

**Skills**:

- Previous geared motor or power transmission experience will be beneficial.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be computer literate (essential).
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Timely, well organized and deadline driven.
- Experience in customer negotiations.
- Sales experience will be an advantage.
