Our client has a remarkable reputation for consistency and excellence in their service delivery on a multi-industry scale, both in South Africa and across the African continent, and they are looking to an External Product Support in their Light Material Handling division.

**Position details**:
Type: Permanent
Reports to: Business Unit Manager - Light Material Handling

Job description / core competencies:

- Manages the development of geared products sales to budget in the region.
- Co-ordinate market research, sales projections, budgets, promotional campaigns, etc.
- To coach, teach, mentor, and support the region network.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data record program integration.
- Follow Sales Management data; off K8 & Cognos screen.
- Responsible for identifying possible markets for new products.
- Price and supply competitiveness managed.
- Expand and maintain OEM and Contract Business.
- Follow competitive trends and activities.
- Assessment of a problem using technical knowledge. Information is sourced, analysed, and documented.
- Recommendations clearly communicated with credibility and timeously.
- Outcomes followed through professionally.
- Provide sales aid and technical advice to internal and external customers within region.
- Support and guide progress on exciting key accounts and potential business.
- Responsible internal and customer technical training and training material.

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric). Technical trade or qualification in light materials handling.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of light materials handling and process experience.

**Skills**:

- Experience in customer negotiations i.e., Trade/Contracts/etc.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be computer literate (essential).
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Timely, well organized and deadline driven.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Sales and negotiating experience will be advantageous.
