Head of Marketing: Urban Property Development

We have a stimulating and challenging job opportunity for a Head of Marketing at a highly innovative, upmarket property development company in Cape Town. As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for Brand and Campaign management, Lead Generation, PR and Communications, and Events and Activations. As this is a management role, you will be required to lead and manage the workforce effectively while optimising their productivity. You will be involved in Business Development and strategy as well as sales.
**Responsibilities**:
MARKETING
Brand
- Developing and executing the Brand Strategy
- Strategic analysis and review of the business and brand on a continuous basis
- Manage all brand partnerships
- Identifying strategic brand growth opportunities in line with the overall business and marketing strategy
- Increase brand awareness and brand performance against KPIs
- Manage the Marketing Budget and Spend.
Campaigns & Launches
- Developing and managing campaign and launch briefs to align business objectives with marketing activity
- Overseeing the project management of all campaigns and launches
- Managing and negotiating any supplier relationships
- System implementation and optimisation.
Lead Generation
- Creating and reviewing the lead generation strategy of the business to align to sales objectives and overall business revenue targets
- Overseeing the daily lead volume and quality and making decisions to ensure these meet our KPIs
- Overseeing partner relationships to ensure smooth running of these Channels.
PR & Communications
- Developing and Managing the Communications Strategy across all channels: PR, Social, Internal, Client
- and shareholder-facing
- Overseeing PR and Comms Management
- Overseeing Crisis Comms where needed.
Events & Activations
- Conceptualise and plan events and activations in line with Marketing objectives
- Coordinate marketing, branding and support teams
- Plan comms around events and activations
- Oversee timelines and budgets.
SALES
Selling
- Contribute towards the Project/Development concept.
- Co-create with Head of Sales tools & tactics to support in achieving sales targets
MANAGEMENT
Human Capital
- Managing Human Capital Growth in the Marketing Division
- Overseeing any internal marketing company-wide
- Contributing towards any HR-related initiatives on a Leadership level.
Leadership & Business Development
- Upskill, mentor, and develop the talent of the marketing team
- Lead and nurture the team to achieve overall businesses objectives
- Reporting development and review for Leadership and Board Meetings
- Monthly leadership and board meeting prep and attendance
- Developing systems and SOPs for the company
- Divisional overheads and budget management
- Managing the division in terms of revenue and profit targets
- Identify growth and partnership opportunities to drive revenue into the business through the Brokerage Division
- Strategic oversight of all functions within the Marketing Division as well as the organisation at large.
- Weekly and Monthly reporting review and exec summary for Leadership.
**Requirements**:
- Relevant Marketing qualification (non-negotiable)
- Experience in the property sector - a plus
- Ability to work with the Head of Sales and ensure that all relevant marketing messages are fully aligned, and content is developed & deployed to support the Sales Function. They are not mutually exclusive by sheer nature of Sales & Marketing.
- Advertising Agency experience in a Senior Client Service Capacity - beneficial and advantageous
- Hands-on experience with CRM and SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google AdWords etc. - advantageous
