King James - Part of Accenture Song is seeking an operations director to join their S&P team. The operations director will partner with the experience design director and UI development director to lead a specialised team within Accenture Song South Africa. The core function of the role is to organise and oversee the daily operations of the studio whilst ensuring our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people.
Services and platforms team
The services and platforms team is built around the concept of pairing specialist skills across design, communicate and build capabilities within Accenture Song. A unique offering that demonstrates a close connection between UX, UI design and front-end development. The sole purpose of the team is to champion creative technology solutions, delivered through crafted user-centered interface experiences, that improve lives and transform organisations.

**Responsibilities (include but not limited to)**:
**People**:
Management of project managers and senior clients
Oversee and support Project Management Office activities
Partner with the Experience Design Director and UI Development Director to set strategic goals for operational activities
Manage relationships and honour agreements with external partners, vendors and internal specialist leads across Accenture
Supervise team members across various skill sets and provide constructive feedback
Implementing cultural team activities

Assist and drive departmental strategies
Work with specialised team members for planning and solutioning of new projects
Contribute towards and enhance existing processes and drive their implementation
Ensure that internal processes are correctly applied from start to finish across all projects within the studio
Ensure the company runs with legality and conformity

**Profit**:
Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
Evaluate overall team performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics according to KPI’s set

**Qualifications/experience/skill**:
Relevant tertiary qualification (BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be advantageous)
12 + years industry (advertising agency) experience or similar (i.e. digital/technology/production industry)
Proven experience as an operations director or equivalent position
Proficient in MS Office
Familiar with various business software (e.g. Jira, ERP, CRM)
Great understanding of the design and development process including agile methodologies
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
Knowledge of the industry’s legal rules and guidelines
In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. production, finance, client service etc.)
A good command of the English language (both verbal and written)
Excellent organisational skills
