Conference, Events and Marketing Coordinator

- Support the Company’s marketing and branding strategy to enable the achievement of the Company’s strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Organise cost efficient meetings and events to support the Company’s marketing strategy.
- Prepare and monitor relevant marketing budgets and expenditure.
- Contribute to the marketing strategy in support of the Company’s vision and strategy.
- Lead the organising of Company events, special meetings, branding and other marketing activities.
- Understand executive team and business units marketing, events, branding and media relations requirements - and deliver support to their satisfaction.
- Build and maintain relationships with manager and peers and internal communication manager.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and other external stakeholders including service providers, media agencies etc.
- Develop and distribute print and electronic materials/brochures to internal and external stakeholders.
- Propose new innovations and improvements to brand and events management.
- Procure and distribute branded materials.
- External event planning, coordination and implementation in support of the external marketing programme.
- Daily media monitoring and provision of reports for internal distribution.
- Co-ordinate distribution of media releases, press statements and articles with assistance of media consultants.
- Co-ordinate media liaison team and other external enquiries.
- Compile and submit various regular and ad hoc reports.
- Conduct and/or co-ordinate market research in relation to marketing.
- Undertake administrative tasks to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the marketing function.
- Ensure risks associated with marketing and events activities are identified and managed.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- National diploma/degree in marketing, events management, communications, public relations or related field.
- Minimum 3 years marketing, events co-ordination or related experience
- Knowledge of event planning, co-ordination and supervision
- Knowledge of marketing functions and activities - ideally including media liaison
- Time management and organising skills
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to build sound client and internal Company relationships;
- Ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously;
- Excellent MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook), databases and general administration skills
- Analytical and attention to detail orientation
