**FINANCIAL PERSPECTIVE**:

- Manage rotary products production functions from a complete business perspective, monitoring budgets/costs, safety, legal compliance and cost-effective manufacturing processes drawing on production managerial and organisational, knowledge, skills and experience
- Contribute to annual departmental budget for rotary production operation and production areas by compiling operational, capex and labour budgets for area/s of responsibility and submit to executive for approval
- Manage effectively rotaries product production areas and associated objectives in line with approved budgets (operational, capex and labour), report variances as required and recommend / implement remedial action within span of control within limits of authority
- Review and authorise payments in line with approved budget and policy and submit for final processing
- Identify operational, labour and capex requirements within rotary production areas for efficient delivery of targets
- Ensure rotary production and maintenance / support areas work within disciplines of efficiency and cost-effectiveness to, _inter alia_, minimise/eliminate waste and rework
- Manage rotary production operation profitability to contribute to organisational profitibility

**INTERNAL BUSINESS PROCESSES PERSPECTIVE**:

- Develop comprehensive operational strategy for rotary production and maintenance support operations taking into account environmental and market factors, and focusing on world class manufacturing practices, and drive its implementation
- Develop production planning schedule on the basis of customer orders received translating from orders into meaningful schedule drawing ontechnical knowledge, skills and experience, and production realities and constraints
- Deploy resources, provide direction and respond swiflty to problems to ensure adherence to above plan/schedule
- Develop effective system of operational dashboards and metrics to strategically manage key operational and production performance areas cost-effectively and safely
- Drive production planning processes drawing on customer needs and priorities, and drawing on technical and managerial knowledge, skills and experience
- Drive actions to implement and improve plant availability and related systems/processes (e.g. implementation of a planned maintenance system (MRP))
- Manage, control and improve production processes, including contractor performance against service level agreements in order to achieve production targets
- Establish in consultation with production management achievable production targets, taking into account client needs/demand and internal process capacity and constraints to proactively manage production plans
- Ensure optimisation of plant production processes by implementing effective manufacturing practices and manufacturing process controls
- Ensure validation of process-related data, identify deviations and manage process performance actively and purposefully to address gaps
- Ensure product quality standards and parameters are complied with to meet customer requirements by receiving, interpreting and acting upon relevant data/information, manipulating production input variables, and factoring in plant capacities and constraints
- Ensure management and availability of plant machinery
- Manage contractors as required per contractual and service level agreements to meet plant operating and delivery standards

**CUSTOMER PERSPECTIVE**:

- Ensure engineering support meets rotary plant/process needs and priorities by forging close partnerships between production and engineering management for appropriate problem and root-cause analyses for correct technical diagnoses
- Make strategic inputs into supplier and other service stakeholder contracts to ensure continuity of supplies and services at required standards and cost-effective rates
- Engage closely with suppliers at a strategic level to ensure high-value/high-impact technical supplies and components meet technically
- and contractually-defined specifications and functionality
- Identify anomalies within stakeholder and supplier contractual services and take steps to swiftly and proactively resolve disputes
