**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Purchase goods, materials or components in line with the specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials are available
- Communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
- Managing all administration for the buying process
- Call different suppliers for parts and get the best parts for the best price
- Receive quotation and order number to process on SYSPRO
- Liaising with production and stores for optimal buying of materials

**Requirements**:

- Relevant prior work experience in Manufacturing Environment
- Valid driver's license
- Working knowledge on SYSPRO would be advantageous
- Matric Certificate
- Good verbal and written communication
- Must have a minimum of 3 - 4 years previous procurement/ supply chain

- Must have good MS Office skills (Excel, Word)
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
- Negotiating skills must be good
- Must have excellent organisational, planning, multitasking and administrative skills
- Have exceptional attention to detail, be results, detail and goal orientated
- Must be able to prioritise jobs, perform under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must have exceptional customer services skills and display professionalism
- Must be willing to take on new responsibilities and challenges
- Be logical, methodical and proficient

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stikland, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- buyer/procurement: 3 years (preferred)
