**_ Position Purpose:_**

Main purpose of this position is to develop/configure ICT solutions to meet business requirements effectively, efficiently, on

time and with the required quality assurance.

The role provides guidance and support in the design, development, release, and maintenance of Data Warehouse and Data

(TFR).

This role will include design of new solution components and enhancement on existing components based on defined

processes and procedures for all new and existing Solutions, while understanding of and adherence to IT Governance

Frameworks (COBIT), Methodologies (Agile/DevOps), Best Practices (ITIL/ISO20000).

This role will also participate in the delivery of Technical Architecture requirements for solutions. A culture of knowledge

**_ Position outputs:_**

Strategy and Planning:

- Assist Systems Analysts and other Developers with the research, analysis and design to conceptualise new software
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of solution requirements and specifications for new solutions as well as existing

solutions.

Operational Management:

- Produce quality technical specifications aligned with architectural standards.
- Development of optimised solutions based on technical specifications.
- Development in existing solutions.
- Ensure quality assurance on work delivered.
- Perform unit testing.
- Participate in integration testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Implement Best Practice Standards.
- Production support of solutions (24/7).
- Perform incident analysis and resolution.
- Perform analysis on incidents to identify trends and improvements required.
- Recommend and schedule software improvements and upgrades.
- Contribute to Known Error Database.
- Contribute to Service Catalogue
- Implement Architectural standards.
- Adhere to governance and best practice processes across ICT SDLC methodology.
- Train, mentor, manage and provide guidance to Junior Staff.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance / improve business processes.
- Analyse and Evaluate relevant information to support the decision making process.
- Produce relevant reports aligned to Outputs.
- Work according to Agile, DevOps and Other Supported Methodologies.
- Work in Adhere to governance and best practice processes across ICT SDLC methodology.

Acquisition and Implementation:

- Build relationships with Software development and other departmental teams to gain an understanding of solution

architectures and required functionality.
- Participate in workshops with business users and departmental team members to understand business needs and

requirements.
- Participate in governance and standards workshops to establish principles, guardrails, processes and templates for ITC

processes
- Conduct research on emerging solution development best practices, languages, and standards in support of procurement

and development efforts.
- Continually develop skills in the applicable technologies as well as staying informed on new developments in those

technologies.
**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- Qualifications:
- IT related Degree or Diploma
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years in direct or related specialized field.
- 3 or More Implementations of a solution, project or multiple major changes.
- Hands on experience working in integrated development environments.

**_ Competencies:_**
- Knowledge:
- Ability to translate complex functional requirements into detailed technical specifications, designs/data structures and

designs/models- Advanced knowledge in designing the extraction processes for consolidating data from multiple data source systems i.e.

ETL or ELT and Cube design and development processes using tools such as IBM
