**_ Position Purpose:_**

Directing and managing all activities related to the acquisition process for all information and related resources (services,

hardware and software). Determines plans and selection criteria for enterprise computer systems (services, hardware and

software). Performs extensive financial analysis for cost-effective acquisition ICT hardware, software and related services.

Maintains and organizes databases and procedures to track and control IT contracts and assets (hardware, software and

peripherals) from inception to decommission and disposal or disengagement.

**_ Position outputs:_**

1. Prepares technical demand requirements and related scoring models for ICT hardware, software, services and related

resources procurement

3. Manages the IT asset lifecycle and all aspects of related contract execution

4. Ensures timeliness and quality of documentation concerning IT contracts and asset transactions

5. Creates, maintains, and organizes a database and files for contracts and IT hardware and software assets

6. Works with Senior Management to review IT resources (hardware/software), monitors and manages expenditure levels on

volume purchase agreements

7. Negotiates cost-effective changes in hardware and software, based on analysis of present and future needs

8. Oversees development, implementation and maintenance of a process for monthly allocation and chargeback of

information systems equipment

9. Manage activities in conjunction with procurement, financial and legal departments in analysing proposals and negotiating

vendor contracts for acquiring hardware/software resources

10. Oversees development and maintenance of tracking system for hardware/software acquisition, including for related

services and actively tracks all assets

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**

1. B Degree in Information Technology, Commerce or a related discipline

Required Certifications:
2. Certification in ITIL Foundation
3. Certification in IT Asset Management Foundation

**Experience**:
1. 5-8-years’ experience in contracts or vendor management environment:
2. Contract and vendor management experience
3. Strong business relationship management abilities
4. IT asset management

General:
1. Valid Driver’s License
2. Willing to Travel
3. Willing to work extended and after hours in support of production issues or deadlines where needed

Requirement of Trust and Honesty in the handling of Finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19

Standard Job Requirements:

Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of contract regulations and laws and internal PPM (procurement procedures)
2. Knowledge and experience in the Tender process particularly in large / SOE organisations
3. Broad working knowledge of current IT technologies
4. Effective bartering and negotiation skills, eye for detail
5. Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors
6. Ability to deal with internal stakeholders i.e. Legal, Finance, SCS and Line Management
7. Budgeting, inventory, and cost-management skills
8. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
9. Experience in Contract and / Asset Management
10. Experience at working with Financial accounting and procurement processes
