As Paymentology’s New Business Development Executive, you’ll play an extremely important role in our success by directly supporting some of our key financial partners in South Africa. The main goal of this position is to not be “just” a service provider, but rather the client’s trusted advisor when it comes to payment solutions.
This role is Johannesburg-based, however, the customer base may be regional.
Tasks
Strategic
In this role, you will be managing the strategic relationships with both local and regional MasterCard and Visa offices. You'll also be responsible for card association global deal commitments within the region. This role involves a proactive approach to unlocking business growth by identifying new opportunities for the business. This will entail engaging with potential clients, leading the process of closing deals within the region, and adeptly negotiating contracts to ensure mutual satisfaction.
Responding to RFPs (Request for Proposals) to secure new business ventures will also fall within your responsibilities. As a proficient project manager, you will manage product rollouts in the region, ensuring their successful implementation. To keep all stakeholders informed, you will regularly report on the progress of newly secured deals to your manager.
Administrative
In this role, you'll dive deep into understanding our existing products while collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and teams scattered across the globe, to ensure a unified approach.

**What it takes to succeed**:
- You will have at least five years of experience in new business within the payment industry
- Proven Sales track record
- Previous experience with working for a Fintech is highly desired
- Previous experience working for an international company is preferred
- A valid licence
This role isn't suited for those who prefer constant guidance and oversight. You must be looking for the challenge of implementing your own ideas and coming up with new ways of doing things. We're looking for someone who embraces accountability and who is able to grow Paymentology's presence within the whole region. This is a position for someone that is willing to go the extra mile to “Make it Happen” for a launch.
