With a commitment to exceptional dining experiences, we are seeking a talented **Kitchen Manager** to support and mentor our culinary team, working closely with our Acting Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and continued growth.
**Role Overview**:
The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in supporting the Acting Head Chef by mentoring and training the kitchen team, enhancing their skills, and ensuring consistency in delivering high-quality dishes. This position requires a proven leader with strong experience in fast-paced kitchens, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for fostering team development.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Team Mentorship**: Support and mentor the kitchen team, providing training to enhance their skills and ensure professional growth.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the Acting Head Chef to plan menus, develop new dishes, and oversee kitchen operations.
- **Operational Oversight**: Manage day-to-day kitchen functions, including food preparation, inventory control, and equipment maintenance.
- **Quality Assurance**: Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation, ensuring adherence to established recipes and processes.
- **Cost Management**: Assist in managing food costs, minimizing waste, and ensuring efficient stock control.
- **Hygiene & Compliance**: Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards, fostering a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- **Performance Evaluation**: Monitor and assess team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address them.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Minimum of **5 years in a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager role** or similar position within an internationally recognised, fast-paced kitchen. Minimum of 10 years cuisine experience.
- **Leadership Skills**: Proven experience mentoring and developing kitchen teams, with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- **Culinary Expertise**: Comprehensive understanding of modern culinary techniques, food trends, and kitchen best practices.
- **Financial Acumen**: Strong knowledge of cost control, inventory management, and waste reduction.
- **Passion for Excellence**: A commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and fostering a collaborative team culture.
