**Job Overview**:
**Field Service and Applications Specialist** (Medical Devices)**

**Location: Gaborone, Botswana - Field based**

**Position Overview**:
A reputable **global molecular diagnostics company** requires the services of a skilled **Field Service and Applications Specialist**.

The **Field Service and Applications Specialist **will be responsible for **providing in-field assistance for pre
- and post
- sale technical activities with primary emphasis on growing the user base of diagnostic products**.

One will be required to **provide technical direction and support to customers on instrument operation**, **assay implementation and accreditation, maintenance of company products.**

The selected individual will **make technical presentations and conduct product demonstrations for customers**. One will work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Scientific Affair, Technical Support, Service, and global business units to identify and assess customer needs and provide high quality customer care exceeding expectations.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education and Experience Required**:

- **Diploma in Engineering / Biology / a Bachelor’s Degree** with experience in **Molecular Biology**:

- **Bachelor’s **Degree in Electric or Electronic Engineering**:

- Minimum of** 3- 5 years Medical Technologist /Diagnostic Market FSE experience.**:

- Experience working with various **KOL’s within **Botswana**.
- Local language knowledge such as **Setswana preferred**.
- Hands-on experience with **lab automation systems and LIS/connectivity**.
- **Clinical Laboratory focus** along with **experience in Molecular and Microbiology techniques**.
- **Technical support and training experience** in **reagent and instrumentation for Clinical Diagnostics.**:

- **Experience working in Africa** is preferred.
- Expertise with **generating commercial leads.**:

- **Experience with customer base within territory a plus**.
- **Excellent technical presentation skills **for group and one-on-one presentations.
- **Networks with the scientific community** to grow the business.
- **Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and Outlook**.
- Reliable own motor** vehicle **and valid driver’s license**.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends for special program events.
- Willingness to spend around** 80% on-site with customers**.
