**Position Overview**:
A leading South African company that specialises in **ophthalmology **healthcare devices** are seeking to appoint a competent **Ophthalmology Application and Product Specialist**.

The **Ophthalmology Clinical Application and Product Specialist** will be responsible for **providing support and** **training to HCPs on the use of ophthalmology-specific medical equipment, instruments, consumables**, and **intra-ocular lenses**.

This will also include the **marketing**, **promoting, and selling of capital equipment, instruments, consumables, and intra-ocular lenses.**

**Key Performance Areas**_:_
- _Providing training to HCP’s and _in _
- _Provide in-field support to customers._
- _Implementation and integration of equipment and software._
- _Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with equipment and software._
- _Needs assessment and gap analysis._
- _Critical Communication skills._
- _Collaborating with the sales team to identify new sales opportunities and provide customer feedback._
- _Keeping up to date with the latest developments in ophthalmology._
- _Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards._

**Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required**:

- A **completed Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Optometry**, or an equivalent qualification.
- A **minimum of 5 years previous experience **having worked in the **Healthcare environment**, specifically in the **field of Ophthalmology (Surgical).**:

- Previous experience within the **Medical Devices industry**.
- Previous experience within a **Medical Device **and or **Pharmaceutical Distributor and Manufacturing environment.**:

- Strong** background in ophthalmology **and** experience with medical equipment and software.**:

- **Willingness to travel nationally.
