**RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER**

**NORTH JOHANNESBURG**

Star Retailers is a Durban based Retailer that comprises of eight independent Spar. Founded in 2008, with the opening of our first store in Phoenix, the group has flourished extensively over the past 15 years by eight stores. The Retailer now expands its presence in the Johannesburg area and is looking for a Regional Operations Manager

This management role will see you: planning and organising the medium and long-term activities of the branches. Monitoring stock and ensuring that set targets are achieved. Managing staff, identifying and solving problems relating to customers, staff and equipment. Taking full responsibility for the branches success from a profit-loss perspective and ensuring all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices

**Requirements and skills**
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience budgeting and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Understanding of the retail consumer behaviour and buying trends
- Floor-walk management
- Report analysis

**Essential Qualifications**
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent (with Maths and English)
- Desirable Retail-related tertiary qualification OR a management qualification

**Experience**
- Desirable 2 years or more experience in an FMCG retail outlet.
