**About the role**:
We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Communications and Media Officer to join our dynamic team. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Allan Gray Makers' communications strategies—both internally and externally.

From storytelling and campaign execution to managing digital content and media relationships, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about using communications as a force for good.

**Objectives of Role**:
**Communications**:

- Collaborate with digital agencies to manage and execute external communications plans.
- Facilitate onboarding sessions with partners on brand usage and ensure internal brand alignment.
- Ensure there is consistent messaging across all external and internal communication.
- Develop templates in line with the corporate identity for internal use
- Develop an engagement plan to guide the organisation on when and how to engage partners

**Media**:

- Manage the relationship with the creative agency to ensure social media platforms reflect our brand accurately.
- Collaborate with the different programmatic streams to develop compelling, relatable content
- Edit and coordinate the release of press materials.
- Liaise with PR agencies and schedule media interviews with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain an up-to-date archive of all event photos and videos

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications or media. Creative agency experience is advantageous.

**Competencies**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong copy-editing and proofreading capabilities.
- Experience writing for diverse channels (social media, websites, press releases).
- Proficiency in preparing visually engaging reports and presentations.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Highly detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Passion for development work and a commitment to purpose-driven communication.
