**Role Description**:
Please note**:this is a 6-months internship with an opportunity to transition to a full-time job at Welcome Tomorrow at the end of your internship**. We are therefore looking for end-of-studies internships with an option to hire at the end.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Under the supervision of our lead Paid Media Manager, building and running advanced paid media strategies on Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snap, X and programmatic channels (DV360 or independent programmatic partners)
- Learning how to drive incremental growth performance for our customers, by regularly iterating to improve campaigns performance and building custom optimisation recommendations
- Developing an excellent understanding of the industry our customers operate in by researching and understanding their products, market trends and purchase behaviour.
- Collaborating with other departments to drive paid media campaigns success (Creative & Analytics)
- Driving customer relationship and project management: organisation of meetings, managing deadlines and client relations
- Contribute to the growth of Welcome Tomorrow through the production of content for our social channels and blog
- Participation in tech events and customer trainings to grow your skills and represent Welcome Tomorrow

**Qualifications**:
- **You're about to graduate**: you are currently pursuing or just completed a degree in Business, Digital Advertising, Engineering, Media Studies, or a related technical field **(this is a technical job, not a creative job)**.
- **You love technical conversations**: paid media is very technical and real experts don't get away with fluff. You'll spend hours learning how paid acquisition channels, such as Meta or Google Ads, intrinsically work. You'll dig into modern attribution techniques for web & apps, and will aim at being in the top 1% paid media experts in Africa.
- **You're a data nerd**: you have a scientific mindset and are already at ease with numbers. You are excited about finding the truth in numbers, refining your strategies based on what analytics say and digging into measurement topics with our clients to help them get paid media reports that represent business reality.
- **You are opinionated**: sticking to your beliefs is important when implementing bold strategies. Under supervision of senior team members, we'll expect you to research and find solutions to challenges, expose your technical solutions to the team and be confident in front of our clients to convince them your approach is the right one.
- **You're a great communicator**: you have an excellent command of written and verbal English, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback to a varied audience (customers & creators) spanning across Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. You are comfortable speaking in front of a large audience.
- **You are flexible**: you are willing to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. You may be required to travel within South Africa or to our key international markets.
- ️ **Bonus**:
- **You have past experience working with Google Ads & Meta**:you've had the opportunity to manage large media budgets (R200,000+ / month) on paid media channels, already made a few costly mistakes and learnt from them to ace your knowledge.
- **You have a good knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Conversion Tracking**: you are aware of the power of reliable web measurement and have already implemented GA4 or Google/Meta conversion tracking end to end.
- **You are familiar with high-paced environments**: you have already worked in a start-up or agency and have been exposed to the intensity of the services industry. Customer is king, we sometimes work long hours and ship without delays, yet with limited resources.
- **You are very in tune with industry trends**: if you don't know what server-side tracking is, have never heard of tools like Adjust/AppsFlyer or wonder what Meta CAPI is, go read up on them This is as technical as this internship will get
