**Managed People Solutions **is looking to fill a** Sales Manager role for a **well-known **Liquor Company** based in **Johannesburg**

**Purpose**

The Sales manager is responsible to manage the compliance of all Standard Operating Policies and Procedures in the field in order to achieve the agreed KPI’s. Supports the RSM to ensure strategic and business objectives are met in his/her sales Area and ensures the consistent implementation of sales initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Sales Consultants to execute the call procedures in accordance with the SOP on pre, during and post call procedures.
- Manage the Sales Consultants to execute the sales levers in accordance with the SOP according to customer call procedures.
- Manage the Sales Consultants to execute order taking and processing on hand held technology.
- Manage Sales Consultants to ensure action of specified tasks from cycle brief or operational requirements from Trade Marketing and RSM.
- Manage the Sales Consultants to execute the stock allocation as per RSM requirements and stock allocation report.
- Manage the Sales Consultants to execute new product introduction, vintage change and upliftment procedure to be carried out as per SOP.
- Manage the Sales Consultants to execute Customer Trade visits to be done as per the RSM requirements and according to SOP.
- Manage the Sales Consultants by conducting meetings as per Meeting SOP.
- Managing that all new customers’ accounts are opened as per SOP on new accounts.
- Recording and promptly acting upon customers’ complaints, queries and requests and feedback accordingly as per Communication SOP and contact grid.
- Assisting Sales Consultants to actively build relationships with customers by identifying new growth opportunities in the wine category (e.g. in store customer tastings) and adding personal touches (e.g. deliver complimentary bottle of wine on customer’s birthday) as per SOP.
- Assisting Sales Consultants to identifying and execute promotional opportunities/requirements as per the customers’ needs and promotional SOP.
- Assisting Sales Consultants to identify training needs of the customer and execute according to a training plan.
- Continuously coaching the Sales Consultants on strategic negotiation with customers in order to enhance their business acumen.
- Understand the Area Sales Target and Personal Sales Targets by customer and brand and drive the Sales Consultants to deliver the result as per the sales strategy.
- Understand how personal sales commission / incentive are calculated based on the understanding of the sales strategy.
- Assist RSM to lead forecasting efforts for annual sales target setting and to allocate yearly sales target to sales consultant level, factoring the potential of the FSM’s territory and individual sales consultant’s capacity.
- Drive the Sales Consultant to grow and maintain the customer base in order to achieve the sales target.
- Develop a plan to close the sales gap by analysing the Sales Consultants weekly and monthly Sales Report and submit this report to RSM as per SOP.
- Ensure Sales Consultants and Merchandisers log all calls and capture interaction with customers on the handheld device as per SOP and RSM requirements.
- Ensure Sales Consultants and Merchandisers produce other operational report / feedback as per RSM requirements.
- Analyse from the database and regularly review the sales plan with the RSM.
- Ensure that information and database for Customers is managed.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma / Degree relating to Sales and Marketing management.
- Experience 2-3 years sales and merchandising experience in a related FMCG environment in a management role.
- Field Sales Management experience
- Area Management experience
