The IT Department is seeking to appoint a Junior Computer Operator to be part of a team running a 24 x 7 business critical environment. This position will be based at the Head Office in Woodstock, Cape Town.

**Job description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring of all hardware and reporting of faults.
- Monitoring of set batch schedules.
- Monitoring of operating systems.
- Monitor and execute system backups.
- Monitoring of store data interchange.
- Printing and distribution quality reports to all users.
- Generator and UPS testing.
- Ensure backup media is moved off-site.
- Assist with recovery of data and disaster recovery.

**Minimum requirements**:
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- IT Diploma or relevant working experience (1 year)
- Qwix system knowledge and experience
- Available for shift work 24 x 7 including weekends and public holidays
- Own reliable transport
- Responsible and assertive
- Quick learner and a team player
- Good written and communication skills
- PC Literate
- Perform under pressure
- Good problem solving skills
