**Key Responsibilities**:

- Disburse loans accurately and on time according to the company’s procedures and policies.
- Maintain and update debtor accounts by recording loan transactions, repayments, and adjustments.
- Monitor and track overdue loan accounts and initiate the collection process, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and send out statements, invoices, and reminders to clients for overdue loans.
- Maintain detailed records of loan repayments and debt collection efforts.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team and ensure all loan documentation is stored securely and up-to-date.
- Reconcile discrepancies and investigate issues related to debtors and loan payments.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including aging reports and collections forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., credit control, risk, and legal) to resolve complex debtor issues.
- Handle queries from clients regarding loan repayments, account balances, and related matters.

**Key Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Debtors Clerk/Loan Consultant or similar role, preferably within a bank or registered national credit provider.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance within the credit industry.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with clients and internal teams effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing difficult accounts.
- National Diploma in Accounting/Bachelors Degree in Accounting ;

**Desirable Attributes**:

- Experience working with financial systems such as NuPay and Webfin.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot discrepancies and address them promptly.
- Knowledge of debt collection laws and practices in South Africa or relevant jurisdictions.
