**What will you do in the role?**
As the Back Office Originations & Disbursements Team Leader, you will be fully responsible and accountable for managing the Disbursements process, end to end. You will ensure that the process runs smoothly, that reporting and schedule preparation is accurate and on time, that applicants receive excellent customer service and that your team itself is feeling fulfilled. You will also be accountable for leading the Back Office Originations team in the execution of their day to day duties.
**What are some of the responsibilities of this role?**
- Taking full accountability for moving applicants through the final stages of their loan process - knowing when to allow for late/exception cases or decline requests based on increased risk and volatility
- Ensuring high quality delivery of customer experience across multiple channels
- Ensuring that all disbursements are made on time and are fully auditable in line with a signed loan agreement
- Working closely with the Back Office Originations Manager and peers to ensure that day-to-day management and work allocation is correct in order to meet SLAs. Ensure these service levels are maintained and improved
- Working closely with the Back Office Originations Manager to ensure accurate reconciliations are done for funds disbursed
- Act as a senior contact point, receiving and handling escalated requests for support; answering more complex queries on product and process. Respond to customer service requests or enable resolution.
- Manage and facilitate the loan sales process.
- Work closely with Finance, Capital Markets and Schools team to make sure that the processes under your control meet all their needs
- Be a key stakeholder with the relevant product teams in order to help drive the business improvements in line with business strategy and operational constraints/opportunities
**Qualifications and experience**
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- Experience in the fintech or financial services industry
- Experience in leading a team
- Technical expert on Access and Excel
- Experience in an ever changing and adapting role
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience in developing and mentoring team members
- Experience in delivering and receiving constructive feedback in a mature and objective manner
- Experience in proactively identifying errors or areas for improvement
