**Purpose of the Job**
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Manager - Enterprise Architect**, must have Degree/Diploma in Information Management, or B.Sc / B. Eng degree - in Information technology and related areas or B.Com degree with specialization in business information systems, (preferred) or systems architecture, (preferred).
The Enterprise Architect:
- Will be responsible for ensuring that the Technology Architecture, Strategy, Goals and Objectives are aligned with and will realise the Cell C Business Mission, Strategy and Goals. They also support the development and implementation of the Cell C IT strategy, encompassing process, technology, and innovation, through managing the evolution and transition of the enterprise architecture in response to changing business demand.
- Will be responsible for the modelling of the Current and Future State architectures, ensuring the completeness (fitness-for-purpose) and integrity of the architectures. This includes the definition and implementation of the applicable Control Structures.
- Will be responsible for the definition, implementation and management of the architecture governance structures to ensure that design decisions are aligned to the future state architecture and the architecture principles, policies and standards, or ensure they are not circumvented for short term convenience.

This objective will define an 18 month to 3-year Strategic view aligned with the Cell C Business Mission, Strategy and Goals and translate this into measurable targets.
**Report on the achievement of the defined targets**
**Define a Future State Architecture** that will realise the above targets while considering:
- External environmental impacts on the architecture - technology trends and initiatives that will give business a competitive advantage, for example Digital Transformation strategies and trend, BSS Transformations, etc.
- Internal impacts on the architecture - business and technology roadmaps that have already been agreed upon.
- Data Architecture, in terms of any MDM, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Big Data and Data Governance Strategies.
- Integration Architecture strategy, standards, principles and technology.
- Infrastructure (Technology) Architecture, in terms of hardware, software, DBMS standards, etc.
**Enable the implementation of the Future State Architecture**
- Identify Critical Success Factors for reaching the Future State Architecture
- Define concrete and measurable Deliverables as required by the Future State Architecture and map these to the Business Strategy and Goals.
- Prioritize the delivery of above deliverables into a Roadmap
- Define Governing Principles that will ensure alignment of all future deliverables with the Future State Architecture
- This objective will ensure that all future technology changes are aligned with the defined Business Strategy

**Define People, Processes and Technology requirements for the implementation of a Governance Function.**
- Identify relevant Roles, Responsibilities and Forums required
- Identify and institute the relevant governance processes and align those with processes already defined for IT & Digital Management.
- Identify tools required with which to manage the performance of the function.
**Define Governance Artefacts**
- Define overarching Principles for Application, Security, Information(Data) and Infrastructure Architectures.
- Define Standards, Guidelines and Patterns that will ensure adherence to the principles for all new solution implementations.
- This objective will ensure that Architectural Viewpoints are available for all applicable Stakeholder Views.

**Define People, Process and Technology requirements for the Architecture Modelling Function**
- Identify and implement the use of an Architecture Modelling Tool.
- Identify modelling interventions required for current IT & Digital processes - e.g. for all changes to the current architectures
- Ensure all staff, using the modelling tool, have received adequate training on the use of the tool and the principles defined for the Governance Function.
- Ensure all architecture and business artifacts are modelled and stored in a central repository. This includes the management and standardisation of the repository, (Sparx EA)
Ensure EA is managed and utilised appropriately, for example;
- Model and maintain As-Is reference architectures, e.g. BSS, ESS, Digital, Integration, etc.
- To be used by Solutions Architects when modelling solutions for new and BAU project.
