**Job Number** - 70725 **Job Type** - Permanent **Job Title** - Planning & Inventory Supervisor **Computer Skills** - Ms Office **Industry** - Machinery **City** - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) **Province** - Gauteng **Role Summary** - Reporting to the Parts Business Manager, the Planning & Inventory Supervisor is responsible for working with various stakeholders within the company in demand and supply planning operations to ensure maximum parts availability, efficient forecasting, low inventory costs and sustainable internal parts movement. - Ensures that the planning and inventory functions run optimally within the organization to reach optimal KPI’s. The Planning & Inventory Supervisor also analyzes the planning, procurement and inventory activities and is responsible for driving new methods of bettering the KPI’s and Inventory holding. Identify demand and supply forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans. - Develop demand and supply plan based on business trends and patterns. **Core Duties**: - Forecasting parts as per customer requirements from +6 different company factories - Procurement, Inventory Planning and Management **Primary Responsibilities** - (but not limited to)- Ensuring the National Inventory is kept at an optimal level to meet supply and demand needs. - Analyzing and ensuring Non-Moving Inventory and Obsolete stock is kept at a minimum - Supporting and managing effective and accurate planning / forecasting - Managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) - Managing Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) - Managing Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) - Management of forecasting systems - Managing procurement functions - Management of GET planning / forecasting and procurement - Managing GET Machine Card Data Factory SharePoint - Implementing, maintaining and improving GET Planning Tools and Aids - Presenting forecast accuracy reports to the Parts Business Manager - Identifying and driving new methods of bettering Planning and Inventory KPI’s - Developing, managing and maintaining forecast trends and parameters - Analyzing the planning, procurement and inventory activities - Identify demand and supply forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans - Ensuring planning objectives set by the Board of Management are met within target dates - Managing Forecasting KPI’s - Management of supply forecasting for SEU department - Planning with various stakeholders and affiliates to ensure maximum parts availability cross-border - Collaborating with Service Department to ensure machine card planning systems are effectively utilized - Managing Reverse Supply Chain process to the Factory - Ensuring Factory policies are met with regards to inventory holding, forecasting and purchasing - Issuing a bi-annually Inventory forecast report to the Parts Business Manager (DELFOR) - Managing and motivating planning and inventory staff to achieve optimal planning and inventory results - Ensuring that all branch warehouses are optimally run and variances kept to a minimum - Developing and managing inventory control measures put in place to accurately manage and control inventory procedures - Ensuring air freight costs are kept to a minimum - Managing CSI parts information notices and ensuring all actions detailed in the CSI are carried out - Ensuring a first pick availability of >90% are achieved in all warehouses - Distributing obsolete inventory reports to sales personnel to promote sales thereof - Ensuring branch and depot stock turns of >3 - Monthly forecast meetings with all stakeholders to ensure forecast results are accurate - Planning project management and ensuring inventory for special projects or midlife’s are available on time **Accountabilities / Key Performance Areas** - Stock turn >1.5 - Air freight costs
