**Purpose of the Role**
- To plan and coordinate all activities relating to the installation, maintenance and repair of Electrical and Power Supply systems and equipment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Designs, documents, and implements engineering solutions to provide maximum effectiveness and ensure minimum disruption to company’s operations
- Develops electrical plans and strategies by studying existing conditions and determining company’s electricity needs
- Oversees the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and components
- Designs electrical systems and circuits, and contributes to improved designs and manufacturing processes
- Manages electrical engineering duties relating to the following: electrical devices, components, production equipment, transportation equipment, environmental control, materials handling, machine tools, and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Plans and schedules preventive maintenance for all electrical equipment. Also manages critical, emergency and breakdown situations
- Analyses malfunctioning electrical systems, recommends corrective action, and coordinates repairs/modifications as required
- Analyses and repairs specialised equipment heavily dependent upon electronic controls, electromechanical mechanisms, and related components
- Investigates and resolves Line Control problems by running PLC diagnostics and programming solutions. Oversees Instrumentation and Control activities
- Manages the electrical engineering budget and procurement strategies by ensuring adequate inventory and prioritising purchases of required tools
- Prepares electrical engineering analysis of plant performance and efficiency
- Plans and implements electrical projects in line with company’s budget and specifications
- Reviews and critics proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details
- Reviews development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
- Orders and rebuilds electrical spare parts as required Vacancy Electrical and Electronics Supervisor
- Supervises the Power Plant team in ensuring efficient and uninterrupted power generation for company’s consumption.
- Oversees the maintenance and repairs of the generators.
- Ensures that all electrical engineering activities comply with the applicable Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
- Promotes safety culture in the Electrical team and ensures required training, PPE and safety tools are provided by the HSE department, in order to ensure safe maintenance activities
- Provides direction to the Electrical Engineering and Power Plant sub-functions, and ensures the quality of work meets with performance expectations
- Provides on-the-job coaching and mentoring to subordinates
- Prioritizes and assign tasks to subordinates to ensure effective workflow
- Reviews/inspects work carried out by subordinates, and evaluates their performance**Inherent Requirements**

**Minimum Requirement**
- Minimum of a First Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, Trade Tested in the Electrical field, N6 Certificate.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience, 5 of which must be in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrable experience in carrying out electrical maintenance
