**Main purpose of the position**:
The Branch Manager will be responsible for managing a branch, and recruiting and managing a sales team and supporting functions. The work of the person who occupies the position needs to align with the sense of purpose and values of the company. It will suit an individual who loves working with people, is innovative and adaptable, has an entrepreneurial spirit and loves working independently and taking responsibility.
**Requirements**:
- An undergraduate degree
- Completed or willing to complete the RE5 (financial services regulatory exam)
- Entrepreneurial flair
**Duties**:
**General**:
- Assist in ensuring that the Company goals and objectives are met within certain timelines;
- Communicate effectively with the Senior Managers by sharing information on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs;
- Ensure that the branch meets daily, weekly and monthly targets set by Management
- A minimum expectation of 2.5 gross sales per occupied seat per day
- A minimum bounce rate per sales agent of 50% per month on net sales.
- Motivate and inspire team members to be compliant, proactive and productive, and to reach their individual and group targets;
- Guarantee compliance with FAIS, POPI and with the Disciplinary Code of Conduct and Procedures;;
- Ensure all sales are processed accurately, ethically and in line with Company Compliance and
- Verify, manage and generate leads (referrals, capturing and dispositioning);
- Supervise, monitor, conduct and record performance of agents within the team and the team leader’s team through performance management and reviews in line with the Company’s policies;
- Attend to, record and rectify Quality Assurance, Customer Care and any other inquiries timeously and provide feedback to each relevant department and to team members;
- Train, inform, record and remind staff on any Branch, Product, Marketing and Compliance developments;
- Administration and implementation of different activities and reporting on the status and progress of all the different activities to Management (for example marathon days);
- Participate in meetings and discussions with other Branches when required;
- Ensure the upkeep and safekeeping of the office and all the equipment;
- Maintain proficiency in computerised systems and other technologies as required
- Manage, record and report office expenses, petty cash etc to Head Office;
- Ensure that all Company information and meeting outcomes are treated confidentially and not shared with any other individual;
- Report directly to the CEO.
**Recruitment and HR Functions**:
- Ensure that all areas of work are properly staffed and directed.
- Ensure that a minimum of 80% occupancy of the available workstations must be utilised by active sales agents, and liaise with Head Office first before filling vacant positions permanently;
- Make sure all new and existing staff receive sufficient training on the Company Training Manual and that all calls and new rookie sales be validated before offering permanent employment;
- Record and report to Head Office all advances, loans, incentives and commission, increases, bonuses and salary submission for approval and payment;
- Monitor and report on staff attendance, personal calls, intakes, terminations, discipline, productivity, sales results, training and performance reviews;
- Organise, record and facilitate team meetings, team building and office functions;
- Issue verbal and written warnings, initiate Disciplinary Hearings and record, resolve and report staff grievances or complaints to Head Office.
- Recognise and celebrate birthdays, personal and professional team and individual accomplishments and exceptional performance or team and individual contributions;
**Additional Duties**:
- In addition to your operational responsibilities, it is also the duty of our employees to maintain certain attitudes consistent with our values, namely being proactive in:

- Ensuring that in the case of any negativity, within your department and the company, you are instrumental in assisting management to remedy and prevent its continuance;

- Any other reasonable duties as and when required by management
