**Our client based in** **Booysens, Johannesburg is looking to employ a Branch Manager in their organization.**

**Requirements**:

- Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the automotive or refrigeration industry preferred.
- Managerial experience beneficial.
- Must come from a sales background.
- Technical refrigeration/ Automotive product knowledge.
- Technical industry knowledge (Has existing networks in the industry).
- Business acumen (understand how business works).
- Sales knowledge.
- Intermediate MS Office Skills (proficient in Excel)
- Proficient Interpersonal skills
- Problem solving.
- Active listening skills
- Networking and Customer service.
- Leadership skills and takes initiative.
- Ambitious and persuasive.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Manage the branch:

- Create, improve, and implement processes and systems to ensure the branch runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist sales representatives in maintaining sufficient stock levels in the branch and requesting additional stock.
- Organize inter-branch transfers (IBT’s) and ensure the transfer of stock from other branches is done in a cost effective manner.
- Manage the Effective delivery and collection of stock using the branch distribution system and couriers.
- Process goods return on SAP.
- Conduct assessments and breakdowns on warranties for the region (with the exception of expensive items).
- Plan and organize the branch’s stock takes.
- Oversee that the cashier accurately balances the payments received against the proof of deliveries.
- Ensure that the petty cash float balances.
- Manage the maintenance of the branch building.
- Manage the branches assets such as stock, furniture, and vehicles etc.
- Ensure the branch is neat and tidy and has an appropriate display of products.

Grow the branch:

- Analyse product sales performance and resolve issues causing slow moving stock.
- Understand the local market needs, report these needs to the GM and develop localised sales strategies to meet these needs.
- Suggest products to go on special to the GM.
- Assist the sales reps to grow the region’s customer base.

Lead the branch:

- Recruit, select and on-board employees for the branch.
- Manage the leave of the branch’s employees.
- Check in with branch employees to discuss any work challenges they are facing, and coach and assist them in overcoming their challenges.
- Train sales representatives on the products and ranges available.
- Motivate the branch employees to perform well.
- Hold staff accountable, and laisse with the GM on IR issues such as warnings and hearings.
- Conduct performance appraisals on staff.

Monitor sales performance:

- Review and report on the item group sales performance to the General Manager.
- Monitor and issue sales reports.
- Ensure that the sales department achieves/exceeds sales targets.
- Hold sales team accountable to their minimum standards and targets.

Maintain customer relationships:

- Call and visit the branch’s customer base to receive feedback on the customer service received.
- Resolve customer complaints.
