- To ensure packaging material is issued on a daily basis
- To ensure the finished good are sent to Despatch with an internal delivery note and work ticket.
- Issue packing material on a daily basis, once complete send the w/t to Despatch to create an external delivery note and close off ticket for invoicing.
- Simplify distribution list on Microsoft excel before packaging to ensure the work ticket quantity ties up the distribution list requirements.
- Check print quantities to the work ticket when receiving work from production departments to ensure the correct quantity is received as per work ticket.
- Day to day management of effective procedures to deliver packaging solutions to the business and customers.
- Work closely with the cross functional team in order to effectively deliver new solutions to the business.
- Map, Instigate, enhance and improve packing process flows. This includes both physical as well as software related value chains.
- Managing the logistics team within the dispatch department to ensure that all driver routes are planned and coordinated timeously, thereby ensuring that we deliver as per customer deadline requirements
- Manage staff and workforce orders to ensure deadlines are met timeously.
- Plan work in the most efficient manner to both meet the deadline and costing.
- Checking and following up on jobs with production controllers & business unit managers to ensure that finished goods reach Despatch timeously to meet planned delivery dates.
- Create accurate internal delivery notes to Despatch packaged printed material.
- To liaise with production controllers pertaining packaging instructions & delivery deadlines.
- Ensure good housekeeping and a safe working environment at all times.
- Ensure weekly meetings are held with the team to plan and organize their work.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Tertiary Qualification
- 5 years experience in a similar environment (Logistics Management within a FMCG/Packaging/Printing Industry)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong ERP systems exp (SAP, Navision etc)
- Have managed a small team
