Duties/Pligte
- Participating in the management, planning and teaching of selected modules in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Division of Sport Science according to the current need;
- Offering relevant and contemporary theoretical and practical content (e.g., lectures, seminars, tutorials, and laboratory work) as required;
- Assessing, recording and reporting on students' progress in applicable modules;
- Contributing to the reviewing, writing, compilation, and development of undergraduate teaching modules;
- Participating in the teaching activities in both face-to-face and online contexts;
- Participating and contributing to existing research projects in the Division;
- Attending and contributing to Divisional and Departmental meetings;
- Assisting with the recruitment of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
- Providing academic support and taking pastoral responsibility of students and groups of students, and contributing to the professional preparation of students;
- Undertaking appropriate staff development;
- Undertaking any other duties and responsibilities, commensurate with the grade of the post, properly directed by the line manager.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Honours degree in Sport Science (or an equivalent sport and exercise science degree at NQF Level 8) with a minimum of two years¿ research experience in the field of sport and exercise science;
- The ability to teach applied Biomechanics modules at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels;
- Proven experience of data collection in a Biomechanics laboratory;
- Proven knowledge of and experience in sport technologies and data handling;
- Adequate knowledge to contribute to more than one theoretical module within Sport Science;
- Scientific and practical teaching of one or more sport codes (individual and team sports);
- Two years' experience in academic training of students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- The ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Computer literacy commensurate with the research and lecture requirements;
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
