**Senior Organizational Development Specialist / Manager - 2 Months Project**
**Job Purpose**:
The Senior Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for leading strategic initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness through the development, evaluation, and enhancement of job roles, structures, and compensation frameworks. The role is critical in ensuring that the organization’s human capital is aligned with its long-term goals through robust job design, job evaluation, effective placement, and fair compensation practices.
**1. Development of Job Descriptions**
- Lead the development and documentation of comprehensive job descriptions across the existing organizational structure.
- Conduct interviews, job analyses, and collaborative sessions with departments to accurately capture roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Ensure all job descriptions align with strategic goals, performance standards, and compliance requirements.
**2. Evaluation of Existing Structure**
- Conduct a full-scale job evaluation across all active positions using established methodologies (e.g., Hay Method, Point Factor Method, or other approved frameworks).
- Analyze job levels, grade classifications, and functional relationships within departments.
- Recommend structural changes to optimize efficiency, accountability, and organizational hierarchy.
**3. Matching and Placement**
- Analyze employee competencies, qualifications, and job requirements to ensure optimal job-person fit.
- Support realignment or reorganization initiatives by recommending appropriate placements or role shifts.
- Partner with Talent Management and HR to implement matching outcomes effectively.
**4. Salary Scale for Positions**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and equitable salary structure aligned with job evaluation outcomes.
- Benchmark against industry standards and internal equity to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Propose salary bands and grade levels based on role complexity and organizational value.
**5. Evaluation of Staff Payment Scale**
- Review existing staff compensation in relation to the new job evaluation and salary structure.
- Identify and address disparities, compression issues, or misalignments.
- Recommend adjustments and propose structured compensation plans that support career progression and retention.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field (required).
- Master’s Degree in HR, Organizational Development, or an MBA (preferred).
- Certification in Job Evaluation or Compensation Management.
- Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in Organizational Development & Job Evalution
- Proven experience with job analysis, job evaluation systems, and salary structuring.
- Experience in organizational restructuring, role alignment, and strategic HR planning.
- Strong knowledge of labor regulations, HR best practices, and compensation frameworks.
**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: R50 000,00 - R60 000,00 per month
