Job Description: Project Manager (Independent Contractor)

Location: Durban, South Africa

Contract Type: Fixed-Term (3 Years)

Reports to: Managing Director

About the Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and manage the end-to-end implementation of SETA-accredited learning programmes.
- Oversee project administration, monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance with SETA standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage risks, challenges, and dependencies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Project Administration team and other project staff.
- Liaise with SETAs, training providers, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth programme delivery.
- Track learner enrolments, progress, and completions in alignment with project milestones.
- Prepare progress reports, presentations, and compliance submissions for management and stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project processes and outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

**Education & Experience**
- A minimum of NQF Level 7 qualification in Project Management, Business Management, Education, or a related field (NQF Level 8 or higher advantageous).
- At least five (5) years of relevant project management experience, preferably within the education, training, or skills development sector.
- Proven experience managing SETA-funded or accredited projects will be a strong advantage.

**Technical Skills**
- Strong project planning, monitoring, and evaluation expertise.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools/software.
- Sound knowledge of SETA processes, compliance, and reporting frameworks.

**Core Competencies**

- Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

Contract Details
- Duration: 3 Years (Independent Contractor)
- Location: Durban, South Africa
- Start Date: To Be Confirmed (upon project approval outcome)
- Remuneration: R40,000 - R45,000 per month
