Assistant Procurement Officer

The employee is responsible for assisting the Procurement Manager with:
Forecasting, planning and ordering of packaging,
raw materials and ingredients required for production
Daily monitoring of stock levels to correctly plan orders.
Maintain stock levels within set limits to avoid over or under stocking of SKU’s.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Relevant degree or diploma (e.g. supply chain,)
- Incumbent would need to have an attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, as well as strong numeracy skills
- Possible experience would include: purchasing, procurement, stock controller.
- Fully computer literate with an ability to operate at an advanced level on MS Excel and Word.
- Experience with SAP, Pastel or other Bookkeeping software would be advantageous
- The incumbent will need to work overtime when required and will be required to work on weekends, when needed, to assist with stock counts.
- The incumbent will also be required to work most Public Holidays as an important part of the Stores operational team
