UCOOK has embarked on an exciting new venture - internally manufacturing a range of proprietary products in our Cape Town warehouse facility.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- **Oversee the manufacturing of all products** as per the production process by:

- understanding and training the recipes and methods
- management of inventory (raw and prepared)
- scheduling of production cycles to keep up with the demand (in conjunction with the Demand Planner)
- Capture and manage daily **production documentation** including necessary traceability information and batch details. This is all captured and processed through our ERP system, Acumatica
- Ensure **quality standards** are met by:

- Conducting routine checks on ingredients/raw materials to ensure they adhere to our standard and are not expired or compromised.
- Joining Quality Control sessions with the greater team
- Inspect completed meals to ensure they are of the required quality, and remove any unacceptable products before they are sleeved and stored frozen.
- Uphold and effect food health & safety guidelines and regulations
- Maintain strict Best Practices within the team
- Responsible for the correct** ingredients and packaging **being requested (i.e. paperwork) from the stock team timeously.
- Oversee **ingredient stock counts **as well as **finished product stock counts** at the end of each production run.
- Responsible for the conducting of product trials across various phases of development (in conjunction with the NPD team)

**Required Skill Set**
- Metric certificate required
- Cooking experience (manufacturing highly advantageous)
- Production Planning experience
- People Management experience
- Stock Management experience
- Proficiency in reading & writing
- Computer skills
- Arithmetic skills
- Matric certificate required

**Key skills & characteristics**
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Google Docs, Sheets and Slides experience (MS Office also acceptable)
- Proficient understanding of food preparation and procedures
- Proficient understanding of food safety and sanitation
- Initiative & problem solving skills
- Leadership abilities
