Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Brand Trainer to join our Marketing Team in Johannesburg. You will engage, train and build strategic relationships with customers and consumers by bringing the Edrington portfolio, namely The Famous Grouse, Naked Malt and Highland Park to life in the key venues for each. You will inspire, educate, and build brand love for the portfolio with our key targeted venues and ensure worldclass execution for end consumers. You will be the support contact in Southern Africa for brand training, driving availability and visibility in outlets. You will be the key link between brand education and staff in outlets to ensure proper brand knowledge is communicated, executed, and evaluated.

**Job Description**:

Key responsibilities include:

- Build, manage and adhere to a weekly/monthly call cycle tracker according to the relevant KPIs, personal leave, internal meetings and consumer events as set out for the year.
- Identify opportunities of brand presence and recommend change collaboratively as guided by global/local brand strategy.
- Build relationships and the trust of key decision makers and third-party agencies.
- Conduct external and internal staff training on how to best serve the brands to consumers, techniques to use and ingredient recommendations i.e.: neat serves, cocktail training, food pairings etc aligned to global/local brand strategy.
- Understand pricing to effectively communicate with our distribution partners as and when corrections need to be made.
- Plan, manage, host, present and report back on the required brands at customer / consumer events.
- Ensure prime availability and visibility in targeted venues.
- Input into the relevant internal marketing reports to support the Customer Marketing Manager’s submissions.
- Present on activities carried out throughout the month on internal and/or external business calls.
- Manage, coordinate, and control all POS assets and tasting stock on a monthly basis.
