Skills Trainer

The Skills Trainer is responsible for the training, development and upskilling of Casa Nandocas to support the adherence and maintenance of all applicable standard operating procedures and ensure compliance and consistency across all Casas. **Minimum Requirements**: - Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification - Driver’s License with Own vehicle - 3 years restaurant management level experience in the restaurant / hospitality industry - 1-year management experience in the restaurant / hospitality industry **Knowledge** - Knowledge and understanding of the restaurant / hospitality industry (Intermediate) - Knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and customer service best practices (Advanced) - Communication skills - Presentation and facilitation skills (Intermediate) - Coaching and mentoring skills (Intermediate) - Train-the-trainer skills (Basic) - Assessor skills (Basic) - Computer Literacy (Intermediate) **Duties and Responsibilities**: **Regional Training Support** - Provide region-specific input into the development of a regional training needs analysis by identifying the training requirements for specific Casas - Review and monitor adherence to training plans for Casas that are aligned with the regional training plan and calendar - Act as a training liaison for Casas, including coaching the management team and Brand Ambassadors with regards to training needs and training practices - Assess staff readiness for new Casa openings and revamps - Provide opening support for new Casa openings and revamps - Rollout relevant training plans for new Nandocas - Monitor, sign off and quality assure all training standards **Learning Management System Reporting** - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all the training undertaken in the Casas and the outcomes / impact thereof - Consolidate information received from the Brand Ambassadors into monthly reports to be submitted to the Regional Training Manager - Complete monthly training records per region for submission to management, Regional Training Manager and relevant stakeholders - Complete attendance registers, feedback forms and general training administration - Complete all necessary documentation to assure compliance with regulations **Skills and Training Evaluation** - Monitor, evaluate and provide feedback on adherence to training plans for Casas, reporting all deviations to the Regional Training Manager - Quality assures the skills of Casa Nandocas through observation and other relevant methods in line with Nando’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - Ensure that Casa Nandocas are up to date on their training cycles, as per the Regional training calendar - Report attendee participation and Casa / Nandoca performance trends to the Regional Training Manager - Compile training compliance/ non-compliance reports, inclusive of recommendations, for each Casa to send to the Regional Training Manager **Training Implementation** - Implement the Regional training plan - Create Casa training plans based on the Regional plan - Conduct “train-the-trainer" sessions for Casa Line Managers relating to new products and processes - Assess the performance and achievement of standards in line with Brand requirements - Conduct workshops for Casa Nandocas on new products - Facilitate an effective adult learning environment and adhere to established procedures and policies - Collect and record results of training interventions to validate training effectiveness and attendee proficiency level - Schedule and arrange training sessions, including tracking attendance and completion - Ensure training tools are available and configured appropriately prior to the start of all sessions - Provide coaching, mentorship and best practice guidance to other Skills Trainers
