**FIELD TRAINER - CHANEL SOUTH AFRICA**

The Field Trainer will work closely alongside the National Training Manager to ensure consistency in service delivery, product knowledge and the client experience. The Field Trainer will prepare, provide and facilitate classroom and instore training.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Education & Coaching**
- Develop an in-store training calendar in line with the brands strategic goals.
- Plan and execute all in store training programmes according to the brands strategy, in order to ensure field sales team (counter managers, consultants, makeup artists, skincare specialist, fragrance promoters and generic staff) are confident to achieve desired result.
- The training and upskilling of the field sales team will always focus on all Axis.
- Identify relevant education opportunities and feedback to National Training Manager through regular reporting.
- Conduct Basic Training for new staff.
- Conduct refresher training with existing staff according to their needs.
- Conduct New product training for all staff.
- Conduct regular training for Travel Retail, Retailers and Online.
- Adapt training strategy to custom-fit needs of travel retail market and/or retailer and level of audience to ensure immediate translation of learning.
- Ensure that attendance registers and feedback forms are completed after each training and submitted to the National Training Manager on a monthly basis.
- Conduct regular coaching of the field sales teams according to their training needs.
- Strong ability to conduct roleplays and masterclasses

**Sales Performance & Productivity**
- Develop and roll out training initiatives that will drive retail sales on counter, in accordance with the brands strategy.

**Field Support & Talent Development**
- Act as a role model, set the example and provide directions, support and develop field sales team to ensure that they have the skills required to successfully achieve brand’s KPIs.
- Coach and motivate field sales team based on individual potentials and skill to drive sales objectives and brand image.
- Maintain high grooming standards and in-store sales & services behaviours to ensure consistency in the client experience through the execution of the Client Experience Journey.
- Identify talent amongst the current field sales team in makeup, skincare and/or fragrance in order to further develop them into leaders in the respective axis.
- Prepare field sales team for Development and Certification program following target guidelines issued by National Training Manager.
- Work alongside field sales team to identify and address individual training opportunities.
- Provide coaching and feedback to field sales team in order to drive productivity and service excellence.

**Other Tasks & Responsibilities**
- To be a role model of personal grooming to the consultants based on standards as set by the brand.
- Maintain the brands image on counter by ensuring counters, tester stands and displays are in tip-top conditions and states.
- Expected time spend in field is up to 70% and must be readily prepared to work on any projects assigned by National Training Manager.
- Work within specific budget as defined by the National Training Manager and review on a regular basis with National Training Manager and justify and variances from budget.
- Provide regular feedback to National Training Manager detailing results of markets visits.
- Complete monthly education reports and submit to National Training Manager in a timely fashion.
- Ensuring that training material is packed before and after a training session.
- Ensuring the training room and in-store training setup is in accordance to the brands image.
- Drive the usage of E-Academy with the consultants on a regular basis in order to ensure optimal usage of the online training tool.
- Assist the Retail Manager and PR Manager to conduct and facilitate on counter and external events should there be availability to do so.

**Qualifications**
- Assessors certificate preferred
- Having 3 years of experience within the cosmetics retail industry and/or education role
- Strong knowledge of makeup, skincare and fragrance
- Strong retail mindset
- Excellent communication skills in English (both oral & written)
- Excellent presentation skills and organized in instructional training
- Ability to create a power point presentation is a must
- Sound understanding of retail business and market with excellent client experience skills and standards
- An excellent team player with great interpersonal skills
- Resourceful, flexible, well organized, highly disciplined with the ability to multi task and the stability to handle stressful and demanding situation
- A self-motivator who is passionate, energetic with the ability to motivate and energise others
- Great time management
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
- Microsoft office experience
