Compliance Manager

**Job Purpose**: The Compliance Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement to the SHERQ standards at the BIL, Runway Park Facility, ensuring compliance with all statutory and legal requirements and keeping the Facility Manager updated with regards to all SHERQ related concerns. **Qualifications & Experience**: - Minimum of a Diploma level of education preferably in SHERQ. - Compliance qualification (NOSA/SAMTRAC). - 3 - 5 years practical SHEQ, Risk Management and General Management experience. - Proven work experience of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. - Proven work experience of applicable SHE Legislation (OHS Act, NEMA etc). - Proven work experience of Responsible Care, SQAS, CDI, MHI, EIA. - Proven work experience of Food Safety Management system [ISO22000]. - 5S knowledge and experience. - Ability to read and interpret SDSs. **Key Responsibilities**: COMPLIANCE - Ensure BIL Compliance Obligations are followed by site. - Foster a culture of Compliance at the site. - Perform on the job compliance training as per training matrix. - Conduct Process Observations as per matrix. - Conduct Behaviour Based Observations as per matrix. - Conduct daily workplace inspections and action any associated activities to ensure compliance with Operational Control Company Standard. - Contribute to daily BATs. TRAINING - Provide training on SDSs. - Provide training on all Risk Registers. - Provide training on HRA content. - Provide training on correct use of PPE. - Provide training on Emergency Response Plan with all employees. - Provide training on Business Continuity Plan. SHERQ - Conduct SHERQ induction for new employees. - Conduct SHERQ induction for contractors and or visitors. - Investigate applicable non-conformances, determine root cause for corrective / preventative measures. Follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented where necessary and ensure requirements are complied with. - Ensure waste area is properly managed. - Minimize waste to landfill and actively promote recycling. - Analyse SHEQ Performance and set OTPs as applicable. - Conduct 5S audits. - Contractor Management (onboarding, induction, permit to work, inspections). ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT - Review Compliance Obligations and Environmental Aspect and Impact Register and use this information to set OTPs. - Appoint all members of SHE Structure. - Submit SHEQ Indicators monthly by the 7th. - Site scheduling for internal and external audits. - Conduct IMS self-audits. - Complete risk assessments in the MRP. - Maintain interested parties register in MRP. - Maintain Site Activities tab in MRP. - Maintain Medicals Tracker tab in MRP. - Maintain innovations register tab in MRP. - Maintain SHE Structure Organogram and list of legal appointments in MRP. - Maintain Monitoring and Measuring register tab in MRP. - Maintain all DG related tabs of the MRP, as applicable. - Maintain Training register tab in MRP. - Maintain Maintenance register tab in MRP. - Maintain Waste Matrix tab in MRP - Maintain Process and BBS Observations register tabs in MRP. - Submit MRP monthly. - Maintain calibration register in MRP and ensure equipment calibrated as require. - Maintain Permit register in MRP and ensure all permits up-to-date. - Assist in development of Business Continuity Plan. - Schedule HRA. - Log incidents in SmartSURE, assign and accept investigations. - Manage CAPAs from internal and external audits to conclusion. - Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plan, schedule and conduct drills and debriefing sessions. - Develop and maintain a list of all Emergency Response equipment. - Submit COVID-19 report to National Compliance and Risk Manager each Thursday afternoon. - Send New Product Take on forms and SDS(s) to National Compliance and Risk Manager for review. - Maintain SHEQ Filing system for all required records. - Maintain applicable information on SACO system. - Coordinate monthly SHE Committee Meetings. - Maintain a filing system of all Compliance related records. - Review the column called 'SHE and Risk" in the operational QWIs on an annual basis. - Schedule monthly management review meetings and ensure Management Review Tab in the MRP is updated accordingly. - Submit annual QIP report to CAIA, as applicable. - Maintain all necessary records in compliance to RCARE standards.
