**Purpose of the Job**:
To ensure there is a strong focus, within the operation, on vehicle movement, personnel control and on-time deliveries.
To ensure the operational services are carried out with a strong customer focus, safety and environmental care.
To ensure the operating arm of the depot carries out all of its duties to the total satisfaction of the customer
To carry out monitoring, both cyclic and random, on all activities carried out by the driving force.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**:
To carry out monitoring of all operating activities.
To provide, with Operational Supervisors, a weekend and public holiday rota system, ensuring a supervisory presence at all times the contracts are active.
To monitor that training is provided to all driving personnel.
To ensure provision of driver training as required.
To ensure driver assessments are carried out as required.
To provide cover, personally, in the event of a driver shortage.
To provide and deploy sufficient resources to ensure the efficiency of the operation
