**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist social workers in managing cases related to child protection, including home visits, assessments, and follow-ups.
- Support families in accessing relevant services, resources, and assistance programs.
- Conduct outreach within the community to raise awareness of child welfare services.
- Provide support during child welfare investigations, ensuring children’s safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of casework, interventions, and family meetings.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, report writing, and data entry.

**Requirements**:

- **Minimum Qualification**: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- **Relevant Training/Experience: SAQA Accredited** Diploma in Social Auxiliary Work or equivalent qualification in social work/child welfare is preferred. Prior experience in child welfare, community outreach, or social services is an advantage.
- **Registered Social Auxiliary worker with the SACSSP**
- **Skills and Attributes**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for vulnerable children and families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of child protection policies and relevant legislation is a plus.
- Computer and technology skills
- Fluent in English (knowledge of additional languages spoken in the Laudium area is beneficial).

**Additional Requirements**:

- **Driver’s License**: A code 8 valid driver’s license is mandatory and must be able to drive, test will be done as part of interview
