The Junior System Operator is responsible for conducting, monitoring and maintaining day-to-day operations for clients of Traderoot Africa Managed Services (TAMS) who have payment systems on the TEP platform. These clients require service of the highest quality 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so the Junior System Operator is required to provide effective and efficient second-line support.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Accurately and diligently monitor clients' environments.
- Capture and process statistics.
- Perform system health checks.
- Provide appropriate support for clients' production environments of TEP solutions, as specified in their Service Level Agreement.
- Provide effective communication and reporting on system processes, performance and issues.
- Escalate incidents to Team and Team Lead for issues for further analysis and investigation.
- Write incident reports.
- Be aware of PCI and other compliance requirements to ensure that Traderoot and its clients and stakeholders will not be affected by non-compliance with them.
- Be aware of and mitigate risk factors, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and Traderoot policies and procedures.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to service requests from clients in a manner which is friendly and explains technical points clearly.
- Share technical knowledge with the team.
- Use the issue tracking system effectively.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity and trustworthiness.

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
