MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Manages technical/scientific activities related to XRF Application development within South Africa and other African countries, working with Sales, Customer Service and Customers to provide value-added solutions to stakeholders utilizing the Malvern Panalytical (MP) offerings within all MP sectors that we serve.

In this role you will provide advanced application-technical support and training for Malvern Panalytical’s X-Ray Florescence product portfolio to our users, subsidiaries, agents and channel partners.

What are your responsibilities?

1. Provide advanced application-technical support to our end users of X-Ray Florescence (WDXRF and EDXRF) range of products.

2. Develop and document Malvern Panalytical’s applications knowledge and expertise in the area of WDXRF and EDXRF Analysis.

3. Provide sales support by visiting sales outlets and customers, both in South Africa and Africa.

4. Prepare and give lectures and present seminars at an advanced level to our subsidiaries, agents, distributors, direct sales team, and the end-users.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

1. A Tertiary qualification with a relevant physical science degree and/or demonstrable practical experience in the field of XRF analysis.

2. Experience in sample preparation for XRF is desirable with a knowledge of any other technology of Malvern Panalytical portfolio advantageous.

3. You will need excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to present solutions to complex problems to a varied audience in a variety of media.

4. Fluency in English is required.
