Are you a seasoned Portfolio Manager with a passion for navigating the complexities of Hedge Funds? An esteemed financial services firm, renowned for its innovative strategies and commitment to excellence, is seeking a talented individual to join its elite team. You will need to drive strategic investment portfolio management for the Fund of Hedge Funds based on objectives of the mandate, client expectations, and the company’s Alternative Investments’ strategic goals. Provide input into private market investment opportunities and contribute to the development and implementation of a growth strategy for the business.

Responsibilities:

Investment Portfolio Management – Hedge Funds

1. Research and analyse existing and potential investment opportunities.

2. Construct and manage investment portfolios based on the objectives of the mandate and client expectations.

3. Ensure that the portfolio management and risk management processes are well defined, rigorous and consistently applied.

4. Effectively interpret and utilise ongoing research to determine the appropriate improvements on solutions to ensure market dynamics are considered and effectively applied.

5. Make recommendations to enhance the investment mandates to increase profitability or cost effectiveness of the investment solution.

6. Monitor and report on portfolio performance across the range.

7. Provide technical advice and expertise regarding the portfolio construction in order to support marketing initiatives, and in due diligence process.

8. Participate and contribute pro-actively and constructively on identified investment governance forums relevant to your role and capability set.

9. Research and develop new products and strategies across hedge fund, long only and structured product investments.

Broader Alternative Investments Input – Private Market Funds

1. Identify and analyse potential investment opportunities for the private market portfolios.

2. Secure the approval of the strategy mandate through the appropriate governance structures.

3. Structuring, negotiating and implementing transactions which suit the portfolio mandates.

4. Preparing and presenting investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.

5. Negotiating deals and conditions, and structuring transactions, including negotiating legal agreements.

Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management

1. Contribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking and benchmarking and representation on relevant forums.

2. Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.

3. Build and maintain a professional profile that aligns to the values of the company.

4. Contribute to a client service excellence culture which builds enduring relationships and allows team to provide exceptional client service.

5. Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed and met.

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

1. Degree in Investment Management (or equivalent).

2. CAIA or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.

3. 5+ years’ experience in multi-manager manager selection and portfolio management.

4. Exposure to multi-asset portfolio construction.

5. Experience in stakeholder management.
